/// SPECIAL ABILITY
Flight - With this ability, Gina is able to lift herself from the ground and maneuver about in mid air. She is also able to transport herself from one place to another simply by taking “flight“ to her desired location. The speed in which Gina travels is relatively fast, weighing in at a strong 100 miles per hour. The use of her ability is very complex and simple, making her will to fly somewhat a generic version of Aerokinesis, only allowing her to control the wind inside her own gravitational pull. Though she can control the speed in which wind moves around her, she can not willingly manipulate wind from anything else, leaving the ability to fly her only reliable power.
Due to this small form of Aerokinesis however, Gina is able to (for lack of a better word) “defy gravity”, to which she can allow her self to levitate or travel along wind currents with ease. When it comes to traveling at much faster speeds, it take a strong amount of concentration to shoot through the sky for the act of manipulating the air around her is not physical but mental. Her resistance to air pressure and other forms of powerful wind currents can easily be pushed out of Gina‘s direction by her will. With enough practice and focus, Gina will be able to fly faster and possibly concentrate even less.

/// ABILITY LIMITS
Flight Limits - Though flying is somewhat of a “simple” ability, certain restrictions must be made in order to maintain safety. For one, Gina must be conscientious of how high above sea level she flies or she may run the risk of falling under Acute Mountain Sickness (an altitude sickness for people who ascend over 14,000 feet in the air). The symptoms to Acute Mountain Sickness (AMS) may include dizziness, headache, nausea, prolonged shortness of breath, prolonged fatigue, vomiting and exhaustion. Because of the difference in air levels, Gina also has to be considerate of how long she stays in the air before growing quickly tired and experiences shortness of breath. This in turn can cause her to loose grasp of her ability and ultimately fall from where she is currently flying.
Weather is a factor Gina also has to take into account as well for the stronger the wind current is, the harder it will be for Gina to fly. Again, she can not control air currents outside of her own gravitational pull so her ability to fly can be greatly reduced due to outside interferences. Another factor that can help hinder Gina’s ability are her emotions. During certain situations where stress and anger play a huge part in Gina’s behavior, Gina will find herself unable to take full control of her ability (especially since she is relatively new to controlling it fully). There will be times when she gets frightened by something and unintentionally levitate from the ground.
It is also hard for Gina to carry extra weight while flying, whether that be a couple items in her hands or another person altogether. The more weight she has to endure while flying, the more of a strain it is on her body, which leads her to concentrate even harder and fly even slower.

/// PERSONALITY
On the surface Gina is a kind-hearted individual. Not one to take things too seriously, she takes each day as it comes without thinking too much about it. She is also willing to go the extra distance which in turn doesn’t make challenges frightening to her - in fact, she looks forward to a good challenge. However there are moments in time when she pushes herself too much, almost to the point of exhaustion and sickness. Gina always has this notion of proving herself in order to gain the respect and acknowledgement of the people around her. This also leads Gina to become somewhat of a stubborn individual when it comes to people telling her to slow down - she’s not one for taking things lightly and will usually get herself into situations that are too difficult for her to revive from.
Socially she is well rounded person; good or bad, Gina is willing to sit and listen to both sides of the story to whatever issue. She doesn’t see the world in a black and white sort of way, yet she knows the distinction between what is right and what is wrong. She would never put herself in the position of getting involved with somebody who was obviously a “bad guy”, but because of her welcoming demeanor its not a guarantee. Gina is pretty much open to anybody, but again she has her limits. Due to her previous marriage Gina is very particular when it comes to relationships. The fear of being in another abusive relationship is what strays her away from potential “good” men.
The downside to her being open and reserved is the anger that comes with it. Frustration, anger, and other negative emotions bottle up inside of her like a bomb, and when she explodes…she explodes. Touchy subjects such as marriage and abuse are sure-quick ways to get her riled up. She’s not afraid to speak her mind, and among all things isn’t afraid of a confrontation. However due to her anger, most of the time she acts without thinking - causing her to make rash decisions and do something incredibly extreme; the downside of keeping her emotions inside. Though she would never intentionally hurt somebody out of spite, Gina is not afraid to defend herself when the time arises. Even though she’s not the most intimidating looking woman on the planet, she’s still a force to be reckoned with on some occasions.
All in all, Gina is a typical human being. She wears her heart on her sleeves, though she makes sure to keep her defensive barrier up. She bites her tongue from time to time, but that’s not enough to keep her from saying or doing something rash out of anger. She’s open to the possibility for a relationship, but has an acute fear of intimacy. In one word Gina can be described: complex.

/// APPEARANCE
Gina is a very simple woman, and it obviously shows through in her clothing. On some days she will wear several colors of clothing, while on other days she’ll stick to one specific color to wear. If anything, Gina dresses according to emotions; lively colors on “good” days and dark, mellow colors on “bad” days. Not a fan of the whole shoe ordeal, it would be hard pressed to find Gina in more than two pairs of shoes: a pair of white flip-flops, and a pair of black ankle length boots. Again, she is a very simple individual who wears accordingly to how she is feeling. Her hair, which is shoulder length in size, is something that Gina will take deep consideration of. Though her usual style is wavy curls, she will sometimes wear her hair straight, in a ponytail, with extensions, with bangs, with different colored streaks, and the list goes on.
Gina stands at 5’4" tall and weighs in about 120 pounds. She an average-sized woman, who carries her stature and size well. Her cat-like eyes are both exotic and innocent with the subtle shade of almond brown showing through behind her lids. Her skin, though pale sometimes, will receive random treatments of tanning during the summer when she radiates with a bronze glow. Due to Gina’s somewhat fair skin, the freckles that slightly dominate the rim of her nose and cheeks are a feature that she had to grow accustomed to. Once considered an embarrassment to her, she learned to accept the freckles as a sort of “beauty mark”.

/// HISTORY
Gina Ty Batzul was born on March 15, 1975 at Redlands Community Hospital in San Bernardino, California. Her parents were father Hieno Batzul (a Mongolian news paper editor who moved to the state of California), and mother Suzy Ahern (a store clerk at one point). Her first name was borrowed from her grandmother and her middle name was chosen to "tie" the first and last name together (her parents were all about togetherness). Due to the fact most Mongolian's have the option of picking their surnames, Gina's father decided to choose the name Batzul (a name that his grandfather/guardian had carried for most f his life). With both parents aware of the fact that Hieno himself had an ability, they grew to wonder when the time would come for Gina herself exhibit signs of an ability as well. As an only child at the time, she spent most of her time with her mother Suzy, who left her job to become a full-time stay at home mother. Her father on the other hand, worked endlessly at his job with the news paper to keep food on the table for his family. It was this love, dedication, and sacrifice that Gina grew to appreciate from her parents, and it would help to mold her into a woman of similar traits.
Due to the fact that the Batzul family lived on such low income and could barely afford the main necessities of life, Gina had to go without a lot of things most children her age were fortunate to of had. Toys, for example, were only given to Gina during holiday seasons and birthdays. Thanksgiving meals were small compared to the relatively large portions that she would see at relative’s houses. However, to in the eyes of Gina’s innocence, her parents were giving her everything that they could possibly give to her - though that was not always the case. By the age of two she had obtained a baby brother in the ranks of her Batzul family; her brother’s name was Naryn Batzul. Gina immediately became very protective of her baby brother, nicknaming him Bolgoomjtoi which means “careful” in Mongolian.
As Gina first entered school, she had a hard time adjusting to the change and demographic of her peers. Always the child to come in last in everything (whether it be in activities or schoolwork), she had to work twice as hard as any of the students in her classroom. This in turn jumpstarted Gina’s drive to always succeed at something that proved to be difficult or unobtainable. Soon after, she became more fluent in English, Gina began to achieve school goals fluidly. There was nothing (as far as education was concerned) that would hold Gina back or even discourage her. From Kindergarten well on up to middle school she had achieved many rewards in her education, receiving many certificates and earning her place in honors classes.
By the time Gina reached her high school era, she started to venture out on her own a lot more. Taking up extra course classes and participating in a lot of after school activities, she had labeled herself the girl who could do just about anything. Of course this was not entirely true, especially with the torment and teasing that came from being a high school student. It was during this time that she had her first encounter with bullies and ridicule. It was also during this time that Gina began to go through what most would call an “awkward stage” of her life. Trying desperately to both fit in and to gain a fraction of popularity was starting to take a toll on the overachiever.
Her grades slowly began to decline while at the same time her participation in a lot of outside and inside school activities were limited as well. She began to hang out with girls who she only knew by association; none of them claimed to be her friend unless Gina was doing their homework. During this time was when Gina also met her soon to be husband, Richard Parker, a classmate she shared Biology with. Though her parents were adamant about her staying focused in school and keeping her grades up, it was Richard who helped her when she was down the most. The two formed a relationship her Sophomore year until they became an official couple by the end of their Junior year.
As Senior year came around when Gina began to mature and prepare for her life as a woman on her own, she was shocked to hear her brother, Naryn, was dropping out of school to pursue his dream in music. Even more shocking was the fact that he had emancipated himself and moved out of his parent’s house before she had the chance to say goodbye to him. Though perhaps the biggest shock to come to Gina during the time of whirlwind emotions was when her boyfriend of two years proposed to her. Obviously her parent’s objected to the idea and denied a blessing for the couple, to which Gina respected and denied the offer. However months after she graduated from high school, Richard popped the question again to the 18 year old. Once again her parent’s objected to the idea, though this time she didn't heed to their words and accepted the proposal.
Though engaged at 18, she didn’t get officially married till she was 20 years old, shortly after they made the move to Arizona. The couple’s wedding was held at a Justice of the Peace building, and the people who attended their wedding were college friends. Gina was now a married college student working on a degree in Sociology, while Richard worked most of the days under his father’s law firm. It went without saying that the happy couple was living the perfect life…so far.
Years passed and Gina received her degree in Sociology though she didn’t have the time to go out and find a job with the desired knowledge. Instead Richard wanted her to be a stay at home wife (a tradition he grew up in) and possibly expand upon their family by having a child. As elated as Gina was by the idea, the two were unable to bare a child for some time - Richard thinking he was the possible cause. Seeking the assistance of a medical professional, it was soon found out that Gina was barren - and though tests and treatments could be made for the woman, it would take some time for the two to have a child. This came as a shock to the woman and ultimately lead her to depression for several weeks. Even her husband grew a bit detached from his wife as he stayed out at night much longer than usual.
Though the biggest change in Richard’s demeanor came when he began to drink, sometimes to the point where he became increasingly cynical or dangerously violent. It wasn’t long before Gina became victim to her husband’s drinking problem, suffering from cruel words to the actual hitting. That was the worst part for her; the words and emotions she could take, but the hitting was just too much to bear. It had gotten so extreme that one time Richard nearly chocked the woman to death with his bare hands. Sometime the abuse became more extreme than that, to the point where Gina was going to the hospital every other week.
She tried to get the man help and even called the police on him, but none of her efforts seemed to work out. Though the idea of leaving was the first thing that came to mind, she had reminded herself that she came from a family that didn’t divorce and used that as an incentive to stay. Months passed and the young cheerful woman that use to be suddenly withered away in a cold, dark corner. Gina was a lot more vocal and confrontational. The once timid woman that would take her husbands abuse fought back and stood up to the bully. She even started taking self-defense classes to ensure her own safety form her husband. Her field of training was Kuk Sool Won - a somewhat simple Korean martial arts system that allowed all types of people to establish many different spectrums of the art (whether it be body enhancement, mental development, or weapons training). In Gina’s case, she developed herself in the weapons spectrum of Kuk Sool Won, where she learned the art of using Nunchucks. Though the Nunchucks was still something she had to learn to perfect, she soon learned that they certainly did hinder her husband’s abuse whenever the couple’s confrontations with each other got out of hand…at least for her liking.
Finally after being in a 9 year marriage, Gina, (29 years old), decided to file for divorce against her husband. Not only did she not venture out and do something with the degree she worked so hard to achieve, but she also had to learn and fight back against the man she thought she would grow old with. Despite the claims that he would change and seek help for his drinking, Gina couldn’t risk being hurt again. Even though the fact she was barren hurt her, she was thankful that she didn’t have a child grown into the lifestyle she was living in.
The three years after her divorce, led Gina to venture out on her own and try the things she never got a chance to try. Though living by herself, she still tried to take each day as it came and live it to the fullest. No longer taking events for granted, she scouted out jobs that she felt she would most likely help people in - especially those who had fallen under abuse, such as she did so long ago. On many occasions she would look in the ads of news papers and scout out something that would cater to her knowledge of sociology. All seemed lost at first until she met a woman named Isabela Sharp running an agency appropriately named: Sharp Agency.
It was here in this agency that Gina discovered a passion for helping people and the drive to do so much for so many. It was also here that she learned that she had a special ability, though it didn’t take much for her to realize it after a minor accident in the office. It was then made clear to Gina that the Sharp Agency were doing things to help people that the law wouldn’t dare do. Though nervous at first, Gina learned to appreciate this way of helping people. For the past 2 months, Gina has been a loyal asset to the Sharp Agency.

Gina sat in the taxi quietly as she waited for the driver to take her to her desired destination. She held her the small Compaq mirror steadily in front of her as she wiped away the noticeable makeup smudges on her face. It had been relatively quiet for most of the drive towards her destination, and without sounding to harsh, that’s how Gina preferred it. Not that she wasn’t in the mood to talk or anything of the sorts, she just like to have moments of quiet where she could focus solely on herself and herself alone. Most of the time she was lending an ear to some poor soul who needed to talk about their problems, or share a secrete. Again, it wasn’t a problem for Gina considering she was always open to people and their issues, but it was always a bit depressing on some days. To carry everybody else’s buried upon her own had ways of weighing her down.
“Nice day, eh?” a voice suddenly erupted from the front of the ca. Gina took a look around her before setting her sights on the cab driver.
“Excuse me?” she asked with a gentle smile.
“I said it’s a nice day outside.”
“Oh…yes. Yes I suppose it is.” Looking at the man through the review mirror, Gina gently began to stuff her Compaq-disc in her purse with the rest of her belongings. The driver in front of her began to chuckle amongst himself, sparking a hint of curiosity within the young woman. Taking a second to stare at the man, she narrowed her eyes and asked, “What?” The taxi driver slowly started to subside on his chuckling, crossing his hands over each other as he turned the next corner.
“Nothing really, I just find it funny that nobody takes interest in the world anymore. Humph - yet we wonder why we have all this global warming and whatnot? Ridiculous if you ask me.” Gina narrowed her eyes at the man and proceeded to cross her arms over her chest.
Turning her head to take a quick glimpse outside she responded to the taxi driver’s comment, “I agree.” she said simply to the man as she continued to look out at the crowded streets. “I can see why you’d question the methods of human behavior and only have the downfall of the environment as a prime example. But you have to realize that in order for things to progress, they have to change. Who’s to say that when something drastically changes in the world, it automatically a bad thing? What if these changes were to occur within…a human?” The taxi driver scratched his head in confusion.
“I’m not sure what you’re trying to say,” he said in a confused tone. Gina smiled at the fact that somebody like her would probably only understand her words.
“Alright I’ll give you an example; say for instance you inhabit an ability. This ability give you tremendous power and allows you to do things that no mere human can possibly do.” It was quiet for a minute as she let the driver soak that scenario in. “Suddenly you have regular folks persecuting you, and thinking something is wrong with you. Why you ask? Because you’re different; because you don’t fit in line with the natural order of things, therefore you pose a threat to those who don’t understand the truth behind the person.” The taxi driver began to slow his car down as he stopped in front the place Gina instructed him to.
“Sorry sweet heart…still ain’t getting it,” he responded with a shrug. Gina only smiled as she reached for her purse and dug inside of it, pulling out her wallet and money. “That’ll be $20.13.” Pulling out twenty-five bucks and handing it to the driver, she began to make her way out of the cab.
“Keep the change,” she said while emphasizing on the last word. The taxi driver caught on and began laughing as he drove off onto the highway.
Did you read the rules: Nah, man, we’re a lawless board!
