1 Month Before "Back To Work"
Gina still regretted the fact that her job let her go on a temporary vacation with pay; sure-fire signs that she was indeed overworking herself. So when the time came to talk to a professional who dealt with issues such as hers, the doctor's remedy was simple: take a trip. For months on end Gina had been confined in the comfort of her own home, not taking any chances and not exploring the world around her. For somebody who helped people for a living she certainly kept out of touch with the world outside the four walls she surrounded herself with.
So Gina packed a light bag, made sure her rent was paid a month in advance, and headed out to the airport to take the first available flight to her. At first frightened she may wined up in Nepal or someplace uncomfortably exotic, Gina was comforted to know that her vacation spot would be in the lavish and colorful state of Florida. Where in Florida - but Miami, of course. She had to admit that going to Miami to spend her vacation time brought a pint of happiness to her as she headed off towards her jet (which within itself was kinda ironic).
The plane ride was a bit bumpy, but all-in-all everything was smooth sailing for the young woman. While sitting in her sit positioned in coach Gina had tome to reflect just how beautiful Miami would be; the sunny beach, clubs, half naked men in their swimming trunks (that one brought a smirk to her face). However as the plane drew closer towards her destination, her fantasy was quickly shattered by the abrupt sound of thunder. It wasn't long before it began to rain as well. 'So much for half naked men', Gina thought to herself as the aircraft touched land in her vacation spot.
When she reached her hotel she had already decided to stay there for the remainder of her trip. Of course her psychiatrist called and urged her to go out and have fun and refuse to let the rain "rain on her parade". Clever. Thus being the nice person that Gina is, she followed the doctor's orders and headed out to have "fun"; the first place on her list a book store about a block away from the hotel she was staying at. Okay, sure, it wasn't exactly the most exciting place to be though Gina decided to gradually increase the Fun-Level when necessary. This of course of Level 1.
While entering the book shop, she was surprised to see there was a book discussion happening in the back of the store - many of the discussers female. Walking from one genre isle to the next, Gina wondered just how much "fun" this would be.
