/// PERSONALITY
Hurley is a man who has a constant thirst for power. He was never the one to follow orders. He will do anything to get himself that seat of power. Hurley is very manipulative and will try and lie his way out of anything. He will say anything he can to gain someone's trust. Hurley is a "leader" type and will be damned if someone tries to boss him around.
Hurley searches ways to put himself ahead of others. He knows what he wants, and doesn't care much about what others want, he does not reason. Trust is a strong word for a man like this. He can read people very well. He does this with everyone he meets for several reasons. He needs to find a way to get ahead of them, he needs to know their weaknesses, and he needs to know when their lying.
Hurley can be charming, if he needs to be. He can win someone over and gain their trust if he is going for a long con. Hurley sets a plan down in his head and he goes to it, changing it to adapt to others reactions. Hurley is constantly following some order he has in his head. He is always thinking of new things, new plans, and he never forgets a grudge, he will hold it until he is dead. He needs to pay the person back for what they have done, even if it is minimal, like seeing Hurley in a state of helplessness.

/// APPEARANCE
Hurley is a tall, athletic man. He has a shaved head and is usually clean-shaven. Hurley cares much of his appearance, and tends to work out a lot. He tries to present himself as a tough guy, when in fact he is. Hurley has big hands, nothing freakish but bigger than the normal hand.
When Hurley is working, he wears nice suits and looks professional. When he is not working he goes back to his younger look. He usually wears worn jeans and a t-shirt, but most of the time he wears a sweatshirt. For some reason he is cold a lot, so he is rarely seen in shorts and a t-shirt.

/// HISTORY
Hurley was born to a wealthy family. His mother was a successful lawyer and his father was the CEO of a company called AltruCell Corp. Hurley's mother died while giving birth. In her memory James named his new born son Hurley, her maiden name. His father didn't want Hurley to be handicapped by only having one parent. He put Hurley into Scouting. Hurley didn't really enjoy it but he went through the motions and did all the requirements that needed to be done. Taking after his father he easily got the highest achievement of scouting, the Eagle Scout. He took with him the leadership, character, scouting skills, and physical fitness from this experience.
Hurley was an exceptional student. He took after his father in his leadership skills and business mind, but he also took after his mother, the lawyer, in being a great liar, a manipulator, and he could read people very well. He knew what to say to people, what they wanted to hear. He was a leader like his father, but a darker one, one that wouldn't care about his followers.
Hurley became the captain of his track team in high school. The coaches really liked him and his effort. Hurley took the position because it would give him more power than the rest of the team. People would listen to him, that made him feel good.
He would talk to people in school but he really never had any friends. It would be a rare sight to see him at a party. What Hurley usually did was read, read anything. He read history, biographies of great leaders. He knew that if there ever was a new world war he would need to understand the minds he was up against, he would need to know how to take over and rule the world... but that was only a what if.
Hurley went to Bentley, the same school his father did. Once again, this wasn't the happiest place Hurley ever went to. He didn't make many friends here, either. What he did to occupy his time is learn about computers. He spent all of his down time reading about them, and how to hack them, as he knew he would need it someday. He kept to himself, did his work, and survived. Hurley graduated one of the top in his class out of Bentley and instantly went to work at his father's company.
His constant need for power, to have the job his father had, got in his way. His work with hacking actually came in handy here. Hurley got into his father's computer and read everything, so he knew everything his father did. This helped his get ahead in the company, doing just what his father needed, before he was asked. He worked his way up quickly. He worked for the company for 3 years when his father had died of a heart attack. The company was then handed down to James Thomas Garder's Son, Hurley. No one complained, he showed the same traits his father had. Hurley was so self consumed in the thought of running the company he had no feelings about losing his father.
Hurley's true nature showed when he got into power. Soon after he had, his company owned a few private prisons, had hired economic hit men to go into less-fortunate countries, and had begun to manufacture weapons. He did anything, no matter how terrible, to make more money.
Hurley had become a soulless, heartless cooperate monster like many others, only he differed from them. He truly did not care about anyone, or anything but himself. The drastic change in the company is proof that he is a much more diabolical, evil man than his father.

Hurley called him in. It would be a few minutes until he got here. Of course, the man will know what this is for. Hurley was going to let this man go. Yes, his wife was in the hospital, he was going to retire soon, but his work was faltering and he needed to to be let go. Hurley couldn't be making exceptions for people, that would be a sign of weakness.
The door opened, a sweaty gray haired man came in. His steps were slow, he swayed as he walked. His face got more and more red as he got closer. Hurley put his hands on his desk. He never used simple words for this. Letting people go made him feel better, his company would do better without them.
"I think you know what this is for." The man began to shake. "That's all I needed to hear." The red man jumped up and lit an expensive lighter. The flame shot out at Hurley which he quickly jodged by falling back in his chair. By the time he got back up the man was down, holding his chest.
The pressure got to him, he was put over the edge and now he was dieing of a heart attack. Hurley smiled and walked out of his office. He walked out and smiled. "Get him out of here." The two security guards walked into the office and began to help him out. Hurley was not concerned with that. He went to the cubicle of the red man and sat in his chair.
The lighter he swiped up from the ground. What was wrong with it? How did this guy do that? He shot flame at Hurley. How?
