Personality: Malcolm, headstrong and locked in a constant struggle to prove his own worth, comes across as having a strong personality most of the time. As one to keep an even temper in pressing situations, an emotional bastion at best, his emotions are hardly ever shown to any large extent. Even though his demeanor would most often be pleasant and polite, he tends to land himself in debates more often than he likes, simply because he esteems his own opinions so greatly. He rarely backs away from a challenge, especially when his honor and decency are at stake.
Appearance: A large-framed and rather imposing man of six feet and four inches of height, Malcolm's chiseled features can likewise show off a stern glare when the time is right. His sunken brow often cast shadows over his small, high-set gray eyes, and his strong jawline and cleft chin both give off a masculine vibe. A straight, pointed nose juts out above his shapely lips, and his ears stick out from his head. A dark, ashen brown, his thick hair never exceeds much more than an inch, and can half as often be seen buzzed to almost nothing. Due to his skin's pale color, the darkness of his stubble stands out even after a shave.
His policeman uniform is one matter when on duty, but on his free time, his clothes usually make use of jeans, sunglasses, and a layer or two of shirts. Though drawn toward black and warm, dark colors like maroon or brown, little other thought is paid to color schemes, with most any hue kept on hand. With fashion over comfort in mind, he would probably take along a jacket as well, but these tend to come in handy when the sun sets and the temperature drops. When hitting a night on the town, he would be perfectly content picking out such things from a smart casual look, or even something fancier.
Powers/Abilities:
At first look, it appears that Malcolm's ability allows him to send away objects and summon them later-- while this may be the effect, the cause is a bit more complex. Using this dimensional pocket access, Malcolm tears open a dimensional wall (which is repaired immediately) and transports items into the static space situated between alternate timelines. Since the locale to which he sends things is unrelated to any point in the present timeline, he can retrieve the sent objects at any time and from any place.
Even though humans (as the only constant feature between timelines) cannot be removed from the present timeline and sent into static space, if he attempted to do such, the victim would fall prey to spatial restriction, getting pinpointed in their spot. The gap leading into the dimensional pocket would try and suck them in, but reality itself would simultaneously tether them in place. Malcolm can then will for the person to be released, at which point, after losing their bearings in the meantime, the victim would probably fall.

Power Limits:
Though the dimensional pocket's capacity has yet to be discovered, he cannot usually transport something larger than a refrigerator, meaning that a small object would stay put if it were attached securely to something much larger. He cannot keep track of absolutely everything he transports, and since he generally conjures an item by picturing it clearly in his mind, this may mean some things are lost in static space indefinitely. He would also be unable to send away an object if, for whatever reason, it had a human lodged inside.
While it might not normally be advantageous, he can open an access point about ten feet away from his person, which is usually applied for the sake of restraining people in their tracks. Once his power has restrained one person, Malcolm can go ahead and fetter up to six people at once, as long as proper order is followed-- he has to ensure his intended target is bound before moving on to another, and so on.
Since the victim is struck with a sudden loss of balance and such, then anyone who knows how to compensate for the effect would be better abled to adjust once Malcolm's grip is released. A person in their spacial confines would still be able to move their body to an extent, mainly the head and limbs, causing potential danger if Malcolm were to stand too close. As well, an evolved human could escape if they were able to teleport or otherwise remove themselves from the present location, and they could fight back if their power allowed them to manipulate elements outside their own body, such as fire or air.

Brief Character History: Malcolm was born in Boston, where he and his sister Caroline, who was born less than a year after him, were raised in a lower-class household. Putting up with their parents' addictions to alcohol, gambling, and smoking, the two felt pressed to stick close together once their parents got a divorce. With his father gone when he was only about six years old, Malcolm worried about his family and their home almost every day. Fortunately, years later, when their grandmother intervened and paid their way into private school, he saw the cloud's silver lining. Neither child expected to be bullied so harshly for being poor, though.
Over time, due to feeling alienated and left without a shoulder for support, Malcolm started crossing several lines to fit in with the snobbish, spoiled kids at school. His attitude change as well, but, when he was about sixteen and learned he was capable of a neat trick, he grew rather fond of shoplifting-- mainly because it made him feel a degree of control over the generally dismal mood of his life. Sadly, after years of doing so, his methods grew rather careless and his thievery was exposed, though he managed to weasel out before serious punishment happened. Going further, when Caroline was betrayed by her friends and landed in serious trouble herself, Malcolm felt like he had failed the sister he once fought to protect.
Watching her withdraw herself and leave for Miami to live with their grandmother, Malcolm himself decided to make proactive changes in his life. His first step was to join the police academy which, after graduating, gave him the opportunity to move to Phoenix, which he felt was far enough away from Boston not to return bad memories. It was there, after years spent establishing himself, that he got to know the police chief, Pam Creed-- but only after his partner had told the woman offhand some suspicious things Malcolm had done on the job, which hinted at his power. Confronting him and learning his secret, she told him about an organization called The Archivists, which he joined after hearing their virtues. A member to this day, his goal to seek redemption is moving faster than ever.
