/// SPECIAL ABILITY
Biological manipulation:
Richard possesses the power of Biological manipulation or Biokinesis, the ability to control and manipulate organic tissue. In his case, the power manifest itself through the ability to rapidly heal injuries. He does this by forcing the cells to regenerate, speeding up the body's natural healing process in a way similar to rapid cell regeneration. With this ability Ricky can fix everything from paper cuts to broken bones and even mortal injuries like bullet wounds within moments. He can also repair scar tissue, cure diseases and even cause lost body parts to grow back. However there’s also a more harmful side to the ability. When he’s upset or under stress, Richard’s ability can work in reverse, allowing him to degenerate tissue rather than healing it. The degeneration causes the cells to decay and eventually die, over time damaging internal organs, leading to organ failure and eventual death. This part of his ability also allows him to damage the DNA of subjects, causing genetic disorders such as cancer and diabetes. As a built in defense mechanism, Ricky is also capable of generating and controlling a great number of different diseases, viruses and bacteria, ranging from the common cold to Ebola. This part of his power is usually triggered the same way as the degeneration. When Ricky's exposed to a virus, bacteria or other pathogen, his body absorbs and imitates it's genetic code. When he or someone he cares about is in danger, the following adrenaline rushes activates that part of his cells, causing them to reproduce the pathogens and emit them through his skin. This only works for infectious diseases though. It also makes him immune to disease since the viruses are absorbed harmlessly. With enough training, he will also be capable of controlling and mutating the pathogens.
Biopathy/Intuitive diagnosis:
Along with his ability to heal, Ricky is also capable of quickly noticing and diagnosing biological problems, even ones that normally would require advanced equipment to detect such as internal bleedings and cancerous cells. This ability is mainly a form of biopathy, the ability to sense and read biological structure. When looking at a person, Ricky subconsciously performs a form of biopathic scan, studying their body on a genetic level and registering any faults in it, as well as the presence of any harmful pathogens, knowledge which he can then use to heal them. It is possible this ability might eventually develop into full fledged biopathy.

/// ABILITY LIMITS
As he's still very new with his ability he's so far only capable of healing or causing minor decay, and has no control of his disease generation. It is possible that he might eventually be capable of bringing the dead back, if they have not been dead for too long or kill someone. In order to heal or harm someone, Richard needs to be in skin-to-skin contact with the individual throughout the entire process. The pathogens he generates can only survive outside the body for very short time, and as such the skin-to-skin contact is required there as well. As his ability develops, he might become capable of make them airborne though. Not all the diseases caused by Richard are instant. It might take days, weeks, months even before some of them have any effect. It should also be noted that the diseases generally are curable with the right medication. Vaccination also helps. In order to recreate diseases, Ricky has to be exposed to them. He can not create a new disease, but he can mutate an existing one. As with actual virus reproduction, creating viruses damage the cells in Ricky's body, eventually killing them, in a way degenerating his own body. If too many viruses or other pathogens are created this could have severe effects on his health, damaging his body and eventually killing him. Given enough time, his body can usually repair the damage though. Using his ability can be very tiring for Ricky and taxing for his mentality. Depending on the severity of the injury he's trying to heal or of the damage he's causing, the effects it would have on him could vary from lightheadedness to coma, braindamage and even death.

/// PERSONALITY
Ricky's quite a friendly person, if a bit eccentric. Due to his AS, he has difficulties with social interaction. He's fine in a small group of two or three people, but more or less than that and he'll start feeling uncomfortable and try to get away. But despite his social awkwardness, Ricky can be quite a talkative guy, once you get him to open up. Non-verbal language and social norms are also difficult for him, and he might sometimes seem rude or insensitive, but that is not the case. Another thing he has trouble with is change, especially switching from one activity to another and leave his routines. If forced to do so he can become upset and have sudden outbursts. Something which otherwise is quite rare. Ricky's not the tough, manly type of guy. More the sensitive and compassionate kind.
Kind and friendly, he would always help someone in need. If they're friends or not doesn't matter, Richard can't watch people suffer. Having been raised in a conservative catholic family, Ricky is often torn between the scientific believes which fit his logic, and the religious ones he's been raised with. One of the things he has difficulties with is his attraction to other males, which he's been taught is wrong and against nature. Yet he's read of it happening between animals constantly. Which leaves him confused. Fearing his father's and mother's reactions, especially the former, he has yet to tell them about his sexuality.

Ricky is a fairly average looking guy. Not overly muscular, but not super thin either. He stands at 5'11" with a fair, freckly complexion, especially on his arms. He has a good amount of scars spread out on his body, most of them too small to be noticed. When it comes to clothes, Ricky prefers comfort over appearance, and can't wear anything he doesn't feel comfortable in. Apart from that he isn't too picky. As long as it feels good, he could wear anything.

/// HISTORY
Richard Michael Hutchings was born to Stephen and Joanna Hutchings shortly before eighties came to an end. It was apparent already from an early age that he wasn't like other children. Something which became more obvious the older he got. Instead of playing with the other children, he used to sit down by himself with a good book. When his parents tried to force him to do other things, he would have an outburst, which then led to heated arguments, usually ending with him locking himself in at his room. Once when he was 12, it went so far that he ran away, although luckily he was found a few days later. His parents, worrying for their son, took him to see a psychologist and he was diagnosed with Asperger Syndrome. Being the youngest of three children, and due to his special needs Ricky was often babied by his parents, and his older sister, India. His adopted older brother on the other hand seemed to resent the fact that he got so much attention. While Ricky still considered Solomon his brother and loved him as such, the feeling obviously wasn't mutual.
School wasn't easy for Richard. He was often picked on by other students for his clumsiness and odd behaviour. The revelation of his disorder didn't help either. In fact, it made things worse. But despite this, Ricky was still a good student. He was always on time and did what he should, earning him high grades in most subjects, especially science and math. But the bullying still made life hard for him. As he reached his teens, some of the girls started taking interest in him, finding his odd behaviour cute. This eventually led to his meeting with Tanya Andrews, as she asked him out, and the two shared their first kiss not long after. It was with her support he managed to make it through school and keep his high grades.
After finishing school, the two moved into an apartment in downtown London together. Ricky got himself a job at a fastfood restuarant to suppor them. Eventually, Tanya ended up pregnant. It was around a month before the birth Ricky discovered his gift. While the two were making food together, Tanya ended up cutting herself. As Ricky touched the wound while tending to it, his ability manifested, making it heal instantly. While she believed it was a gift from God, Ricky wanted to find a more scientific explanation. And so, he started doing some research, eventually stumbling across a book called Activating Evolution and learning about so called "evolved humans". Tanya stayed with her religious explanation though. Shortly afterwards, Tanya gave birth to three healthy little children. But the birth was difficult, and despite Ricky's efforts with his ability, he was unable to save Tanya. Since then he's been living on his own, doing his best to be a good father.

Ricky was lying on his bed, thinking. The cuffs had been removed, but he was still a prisoner. So soon after waking up from his coma after that car accident. He barely got to spend any time with the man he loved or with his children. Tanya was more parent to them than he was. And Orion. Speaking of those two, why hadn't they come to rescue him? Were they even looking for him? Or were they just gonna leave him in the hands of the Company? He doubted that. Tanya was his best friend, and Orion... Orion was the man of his life. At least he thought so. Maybe he'd been wrong? Looking up as the door opened, his cerulean gaze landed on Warren. What did he want? More questions? They already knew his entire life story. What more could he tell them? At least they hadn't experimented on him... yet.
Feeling uncomfortable from the eye contact, he tried to break it, and realised to his horror that he couldn't. What was happening? Was Warren behind it? Why was he torturing him like that? He knew how painful it was to Ricky to maintain eye contact. The boy winced in pain as Warren grabbed his shoulders and squirmed trying to get loose. The man's grip probably wasn't really that hard, but to him it felt as though he was crushing his shoulders, or at least bruising them badly. Then Warren said something. And for some reason Ricky felt an urge to do what he asked. Not like the compulsive ones caused by his disorder. This was different. But if someone needed his help, that didn't really matter. Following Warren through the Company corridors, he looked up at the man they met up with, who seemed vaguely familiar for some reason.
Then the guy made some kind of portal and next thing he knew he was standing outside a scary looking building with a bunch of strangers. Feeling even more uncomfortable, Ricky wished he hadn't joined Warren. It had been that urge, that feeling that he had to do it. Letting his gaze travel across the crowd, looking for those who really needed his help. Their injuries reminded him of those of the Company guy he'd met in central park. That boy must have been a victim of this fixer killer as well. That would explain a lot. How he could have gained such injuries. Aqua eyes landed on a young woman, a couple of years older than Ricky himself, who was even more familiar than the teleporter.
Suddenly, he found himself standing outside a completely different building, somewhere in New York by the looks of it. He felt anxious, worried, scared, but he didn't know why. He was waiting for something, but he didn't know what. The teleporter guy was there, as well as a few people he didn't recognise. One who looked scarily much like Patrick. Suddenly, another guy appeared out of thin air with some kind of remote. He could feel himself nodding to the man. Then the guy pressed a button on the remote. Intense pain, beyond anything he'd ever felt before, through his entire body. There was something in his bloodstream, it was killing him, he could feel it. He fell, lying on the ground, twisting in agony. Couldn't someone help him? Then, suddenly. His body was lifted by what was definitely feminine arms. Biting back the pain, he looked up at the person who was holding him, seeing the same woman he'd spotted in the fixer killer house. Who was she? Why did she seem to mean something to him? And why was he having odd daydreams about a complete stranger?
A voice called for him, and suddenly he was back in the fixer killer house. He turned to the guy who was calling him, the only one of the victims who didn't seem hurt. Strange. Turning around again, he made his way over to the woman, who the teleporter identified as 'Anz'. She had wounds all over, legs, arms, back, around her mouth as well. "Don't worry, you're gonna be alright." Taking her hands, he activated his ability. The injuries slowly, but surely, healed without leaving any marks, not even any scars. She'd feel a tingling feeling as the injured skin and flesh pulled itself together, bordering on pain. Once he was done, Ricky let go, feeling a bit lightheaded. But there still were a lot of people who needed help. He couldn't pass out now. Wiping away the drop of blood that poured from his nose, he looked up seeing Warren getting sent away. He wasn't sure if it was due to the strain put on his mind, but he could have sworn he saw someone following him. As much as he wanted to go after him and make sure he was alright, he couldn't. The urge to stay there and help the fixer killer victims was stronger and he couldn't resist it.
As there was nothing more he could do about it, he moved on to the chubby guy, who seemed to be in at least as bad condition as Anz, or worse. "I'll do what I can, just relax." Giving the man what he thought to be a reassuring smile, he checked his injuries. The entrance and exit wounds implied he'd had hooks or something similar stuck in his body. This fixer killer sure was a cruel man. Who'd do something like that to people It was terrible. Placing his hands on the man's arms, near some of the wounds, he activated his ability again, forcing the man's flesh and skin to repair itself. The further he healed the man, the weaker he felt. It was getting difficult keeping himself awake. He wasn't sure he could help more people. Not without killing himself in the process. As the man's wounds finally disappeared completely, Ricky's hands slipped from him. His eyes rolled back and he collapsed, finally overcome by the exhaustion.
